This policy applies to all FITE services regardless of their nature (website, application, services...). In its capacity as controller, the FITE is responsible for complying with the obligations of the European Regulation n°2016/679 called General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) concerning the collection and process of personal data by the FITE. The RGPD applies to personal data of EU nationals.

2 / How the FITE executes the protection of personal data

The FITE undertakes to take into account the protection of your Personal Data and your privacy when designing the services offered to you (privacy by design). To ensure the security, respect and good exercise of your rights, measures allowing to protect your personal data are implemented (privacy by default).

3 / What are the personal data used by the FITE?

The FITE is committed to collect only Personal Data strictly necessary for the achievement of the services offered and which correspond to the object and tasks of the Federation. If optional data is requested from you, the FITE will clearly inform you about the Personal Data needed to perform the service. Personal Data are directly collected from you and are only used for the uses that have been brought to your attention. Personal Data are used with your consent and to offer you other services.

4 / What is the basis of the legitimacy of our treatments?

The FITE relies on the following bases to process Personal Data :

4.1 / Contrat execution

The legal basis for the processing of personal data of the user that is collected is the execution of a contract. It may concern the affiliation, approval or accession of national equestrian tourism groups and organizations for personal data concerning managers of equestrian establishments, contracts concluded with FITE partners or service contracts involving the collection of Personal Data and, in general, all federal activities based on a contractual or conventional agreement. For processing based on an agreement of a contractual or convention nature, the user must provide the necessary data for its execution. If he doesn't provide this data, the object of this agreement will not be carried out.

4.2 / Legal obligation

When the creation and implementation of a personal data processing is necessary for the FITE to comply with one or more legal obligations in the context of its relationships with its members or third parties such as for the implementation of safety measures when organizing public events or the fulfillment of obligations related to sanitary or veterinary controls.

With respect to the following purposes, the legal basis for the processing of the Personal Data of the participants or third parties will be the consent of the latter, in the event that it would have been given ;

Our legitimate interest is to be able to guarantee that our services are adapted, relevant, secured a,d to enable the FITE to understand the needs, expectations, and level of satisfaction of users, in order to improve its services. All these actions are carried out with the aim of improving the services to members of third parties.

Some services may be used by minors under the age of fifteen. In this case, minors must obtain the consent of their parents or legal representatives.

The FITE carries out all the processing of your Personal Data in the European Union (EU) Territory. However, for certain specific services, FITE may use subcontractors established outside the EU. Some Personal Data may then be communicated to them for the strict requirements of their missions. In this case, in accordance with the regulations in force, the FITE requires its subcontractors to provide the necessary guarantees to supervise and secure these transfers, in particular by signing standard contractual clauses, respecting the regulations on the protection of personal data (RGPD).

8 / For how long does the FITE keep your Personal Data?

The retention period of your Personal Data depends on the basis and purposes that have been accepted. The FITE undertakes itself not to retain your Personal Data beyond the time necessary to provide the service, and therefore you use the service, plus the retention period imposed by the applicable rules on legal prescription. For those who have given their consent to the use of their Personal Data by the FITE, the retention period is five years, from the moment their consent has been obtained. The duration may be the subject of a specific mention during the collection if it does not fall into the category above.

9 / Are your Personal Data protected ?

The FITE commits itself to take all measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of Personal Data and in particular to prevent their being damaged, erased or unauthorized third parties having access to it. Furthermore, in the event of a security incident affecting your Personal Data (destruction, loss, alteration or disclosure), FITE is committed to complying with the obligation to notify violations of Personal Data, in particular from the CNIL.

10 / What are your rights to your personal data ?

You have, at any time, the right to exercise with the FITE the rights provided by the applicable regulations applicable to Personal Data, subject to fulfilling the conditions provided by the General Data Regulation :

When subscribing for a service or collecting your Personal Data, you are given the address (postal and/or electronic) to which you send your request for the exercise of your rights. Every request must be accompanied by proof of identity. FITE undertakes to respond to your requests for the exercise of your rights as soon as possible and in any event in compliance with legal deadlines.
