Privacy policy
This document states of our commitment to the protection of your personal data. Its purpose is to give you information about :
- Personal data the FITE collects and what are its reasons,
- How these personal data will be used
- Your rights as a person concerned by our data processing.
This policy applies to all FITE services regardless of their nature (website, application, services...). In its capacity as controller, the FITE is responsible for complying with the obligations of the European Regulation n°2016/679 called General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) concerning the collection and process of personal data by the FITE. The RGPD applies to personal data of EU nationals.

Glossaire
Each term beginning with a capital letter has the meaning given to it below.
- "Privacy Policy and protection Personal Data" and "Policy": means that this Policy describing the measures taken for the processing, operation, and management of your Personal Data and your rights as a data subject.
- « Personal Data: means any information relating to you and allowing you to be identified directly or indirectly (hereinafter referred to as the “Data”)
- « Processing »: means any operation or set of operations applied to your Personal Data.
- « Data Controller »: means the FITE that carriers out the processing of your Data.
- « A personal data breach »: means a breach of security, resulting in the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of an access to your Personal Data.

How does fite implement the protection of personal data?
FITE is committed to taking into account the protection of your personal data and your privacy from the design of the services offered to you (Privacy by design).
To ensure security and guarantee the respect and proper exercise of your rights, measures to ensure the protection of your Personal data are implemented (Privacy by default).
What personal data is used by fite?
Personal data are information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
FITE undertakes to collect only the Personal Data that are strictly necessary for the performance of the services offered and that corresponds to the purpose and missions of FITE.
In the event that you are asked for optional data, FITE will clearly inform you of the Personal data required to perform the service. Personal data may be collected directly from you and are used only for the purposes for which you have been notified or indirectly. Personal data are used only with your consent to provide you with additional services.

- When you sign up for membership with FITE;
- When you contact FITE using the contact form;
When you register for one of our events.
We recommend that you only provide data requested or necessary for your query.
Information indirectly collected:
FITE may collected information when you use our digital Platforms, such as your IP address or other browsing information, through cookies or similar technologies placed on your device.
Some cookies are required for the proper functioning of our digital Platforms and other are used for analytics purposes which help us to provide you with more personalized and customized services and a better digital experience. We may also collect information about you from third parties, such as a spouse who contacts us on your behalf or from your friends who provide us with your information in order to invite you to events you may be interested in.
If you provide personal data to us about someone else, you must ensure that you are entitled to disclose that information to us and that, without us taking any further steps required by data protection laws, FITE may collect, use and disclose such information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
What is the legitimate basis for our processing?
The FITE relies on the following bases to process Personal Data :
- Performance of the contract: The legal basis for the processing of the user's Personal Data that are collected is the performance of a contract. This may include the affiliation, approval or membership of national equestrian tourism organizations for Personal Data concerning the managers of equestrian establishments, contracts concluded with FITE's partners or contracts for the provision of services involving the collection of Personal Data, and generally all federal activities based on a contractual or conventional agreement. For processing based on a contractual or conventional agreement, the user is obliged to provide the data necessary for its execution. If the user does not provide the data, the purpose of the agreement cannot be fulfilled.
- Legal obligations: When the creation and implementation of a processing of Personal Data is necessary for FITE to comply with one or more legal obligations in the context of its relationship with its members or third parties such as for the implementation of security measures during the organization of public events or the respect of obligations related to health or veterinary controls.
- Consent: The legal basis for the processing of Personal Data of members or third parties will be the consent of the latter, in the event that they have given it, for the following processing:
- Subscribing to the FITE membership;
- Management of the sending of information about FITE and its activities, including information personalized to the profile of members or third parties.
Withdrawal of consent for these data processing by the user will not condition the execution of the contract or agreements concluded by the person concerned with FITE.
- Legitimate interest: FITE's legitimate interest is to ensure that its services and benefits are appropriate, relevant and secure and to understand the needs and satisfaction of users in order to improve its services and benefits.
Personal data of minors
In the event that certain services are used by minors under the age of fifteen, the consent of their parents or legal representatives is required.
How long fite keeps your personal data?
Your personal data are processed for the period necessary for the purposes for which they have been collected, to comply with legal and regulatory obligations and for the duration of any period necessary to establish, exercise or defend any legal rights.
In order to determine the most appropriate retention periods for your personal data, we have specifically considered the amount, nature and sensitivity of your personal data, the reasons for which we collected your personal data, the service you deserve and expect from us together with the applicable legal requirements.
To whom may your personal data be passed on?
The data collected is accessible to FITE's internal departments for the purposes mentioned above, which undertake to respect its confidentiality.

Such processing is based on our prior instructions set forth in a binding contract that complies with the requirements of applicable law. FITE imposes security measures.
Can your personal data be transfered outside the european union?
FITE processes all personal data within the European Union (EU). However, for certain specific services and for the strict needs of its missions, FITE may use subcontractors established outside the EU.
Where FITE transfers personal data outside the EU to a country that is not designated by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection for personal data, transfers will be made under an agreement that covers the obligations imposed by the EU for the transfer of personal data outside the EU, including the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, or under other appropriate safeguards.
How do we protect your personal data?
FITE has security measures in place to protect your personal data from unauthorized access and use. FITE follows appropriate security procedures in the storage and disclosure of personal data to prevent unauthorized access by third parties and to prevent accidental loss of your data. Access to personal data is limited to those who have a genuine business need to access it.
What rights do you have on your personal data?
In accordance with the applicable data protection laws, you can, at any time, request access, rectification, erasure and portability of your personal data or restrict and object to the processing of your personal data. A summary of these rights is provided below:
- Your right of access: the right to be provided with a copy of your personal data.
- Your right to rectification: the right to require us to correct any mistakes in your data or to complete your information.
- Your right to be forgotten: the right to require us to delete your personal data — in certain situations.
- Your right to restriction of processing: the right to require us to restrict processing of your personal data — in certain circumstances, for example if you contest the accuracy of the data.

- Your right to object to processing: can be used in some cases, especially when processing mailings.
