En route pour 2022

Let's go back on the FITE General Assembly 2021

On October the 8th, the FITE General Assembly 2021 took place by videoconference.

With more than 40 participants, representing 25 members over 26 of the FITE, this meeting broke the participation record and underlines the involvement of NETOs and associate members in the FITE.

During this annual meeting, participants discussed on past, present and planned activities of the Federation and voted on different issues.

The moral report and the financial report were unanimously approved.

The mandate of Thomas Ungruhe (Germany) on the Board of directors was renewed, the substitution of Wu Gang Fang by Justin Tseng (China) was voted, as well as the election of a new Board member: Zoe Houbolt (Netherlands). You can find the Board of directors composition here.

In December 2020, the Board gave its consent in order toapprove the membership of the Endurance Riding and Equine Tourism Association (ERETA) of Georgia. The General Assembly approved this membership. In Georgia there are a great tradition and culture of equestrian tourism, thus the FITE is glad to see Georgia joining the FITE and welcomes this new NETO.

Participants also talked about the great importance of relaunching sport, championships and training , after a year where a lot of competitions and events were cancelled or rescheduled. Numerous events are coming for TREC and Working equitation in 2022. Finally, participants discussed and exchanged views on various topics. These discussions underline the desire to progress and discuss on good practices, which is a great sign for the future of international equestrian tourism.
