On October the 8th, the FITE General Assembly 2021 took place by videoconference.
With more than 40 participants, representing 25 FITE members out of 26, this meeting broke the participation record and underlines the involvement of NETOs and associated members within the FITE.
During this annual meeting, participants discussed on past, present and planned activities of the Federation and voted on different issues.
The moral report and the financial report were unanimously approved.
The term of Thomas Ungruhe (Germany) on the Board of Directors was renewed, the replacement of Wu Gang Fang by Justin Tseng (China) was voted on as well as the election of a new member to the Board of Directors: Zoe Houbolt (Netherlands). Find the composition of the Board of Directors here.
As of December 2020, approval had been given by the Board of Directors for Endurance Riding and Equine Tourism Association membership (ERETA) from Georgia. The General Assembly approved this membership. As this country is animated by a great tradition and culture of equestrian tourism, the FITE was delighted with the official membership of this new member and welcomes this NETO.
The importance of reviving sport, championships and training - after a year that saw many events canceled or postponed - was also mentioned with multiple deadlines to come for TREC and working equitation in 2022. Finally, an important place was given to the discussions, highlighting the desire of the participants to progress and to exchange good practices, auguring well for the future of international equestrian tourism.
