After Bretagne in 2022, the Centaur Raid comes back in Alsace this year, from November 10 to 12, 2023!
This atypical event, organized by the Sabots Rando Association under the aegis of the FITE, takes place over two night-time stages, over a distance of around 100 kilometers.
The start is announced at the Mercière craft brewery, located in the typical Alsatian village of Cosswiller, which will be the riders' headquarter for these 2 days of adventure. Right in the heart of the Piedmont of the Vosges mountains, riders will have to cross forests on a hilly terrain. Taking care of their mounts to complete this POR will be one of the keys to success!
"One of the Association's committee members had taken part in the Centaur Raid several times. He suggested that we organize it, and w've begun the adventure!" says Amandine Barrois, manager of the Sabots Rando Association, which organize this 2023 edition.
"It's always a pleasure to gather with passionate riders. We're used to organizing two-day TREC events and welcoming foreign riders. We have a beautiful environment for trail riding, appreciated by all, and very beautiful landscapes. The sandy ground and the absence of major roads on the route enable us to organize the Centaur in good conditions. We also attach great importance into respecting nature and are keen to minimize our impact on the environment."
The entire association team is working to make this challenge a success.
