We were saddened to learn the passing, on Tuesday 7th January 2020, of Michel Hebette.

TREC family is in grief after hearing about the decease of M. Hebette, who was a pioneer of TREC in Belgium.
He also was one of the older TREC judges in Belgium. He was a major figure of the discipline in his country.

Michel is one of the people that developed TREC in Belgium in the '90s. Since 2001, year of the World Championship in Vielsalm (Belgium) he was an international judge. Regularly in Belgian championships, he used to offer his help to international and European championships' organiser.
Retired for about 10 years, he kept on plying roads together with his wife who also is a TREC judge, in order to join international competitions.

We wish to commend his faultless commitment and his devotion for TREC and more widely the interest of horse-riding. His goodwill, humour and good temper will be missed.
The FITE expresses its sincere condolences and its deepest sympathy to his close relatives.
